The Artbank Collection is made up of artworks from all over this vast country. This exhibition celebrates the rich tapestry of traditions, stories, paintings, weavings, carvings, songs and dances that define Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and honours the enduring strength and vitality of First Nations culture.
Artbank acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and would like to thank the many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Artists whose important artworks bring such strength and richness to the Artbank Collection.
Artbank is committed as a public program to an open dialogue with our community and artist stakeholders. We respect Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP) and the rights that Indigenous people have, and want to have, to protect their traditional arts and culture. This includes an authority over works already held in collection and how they should be managed.
