Rowena Talacko
Art Consultant


Rowena joined Artbank in 2014 as a Curatorial Assistant before moving into her current role in 2016. Rowena has a Certificate in Museum Practice, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney, and is currently working toward a Master of Curating and Cultural Leadership at the University of New South Wales. Rowena started her career in film production, first working for the Australian Film Commission and later working as a freelancer on films such as Strictly Ballroom, Muriel’s Wedding, The Last Days of Chez Nous and Sirens. Rowena then moved into interior design before pursuing a career in the visual arts following her tertiary studies in arts administration and collection management. Prior to Artbank, Rowena was involved with the Warmun Art Centre, Biennale of Sydney, Art Month Sydney and International Conservation Services.

As an Art Consultant, Rowena draws upon her varied background and experience as she focuses on a client’s specific needs and demands. She particularly enjoys the challenge of responding to a client’s brief through works from the Artbank collection.
