Courtney Kidd joined the Artbank team in 2005. Beginning her working career as a visual arts writer and broadcaster, Courtney then went on to teach visual art theory and professional practice in tertiary institutions. Courtney completed undergraduate and postgraduate arts training at the Australian National University, with her Master of Arts undertaken at the University of New South Wales. Currently, she is a part-time doctoral candidate at the University of Technology, Sydney. Courtney’s writing has appeared in a wide range of publications including Art Monthly, Art & Australia, Sydney Morning Herald, Qantas and ABC Limelight.
Courtney brings to her Art Consultant position at Artbank a strong knowledge of the visual arts and is passionate about its significance in contemporary Australian culture. She has acquired extensive knowledge of the Artbank collection and the unique place it holds as a leasing program. In working with a diverse range of clients, Courtney brings a high level of professional expertise that straddles Artbank’s commercial and artistic imperatives.
